New tile and mosaic glass tile around bathtub enclosure. Should this new installation be sealed?

Q. i recently installed new tile and mosaic glass tile around my bathtub encloser. should this new installation be sealed.

A. Typically glass does not need to be sealed since it is not porous. However if you used cementious grout you may want to seal the grout. I would suggest using a stone impregnator to seal the grout. You can apply the sealer to the tile and the grout and simply wipe it off the tile and the grout will be sealed.

We recommend Stone Care Central products.
