Q. I would like to know if granite is a delicate stone that can be chipped easily? A. Granite is not delicate. In fact it is one of the hardest minerals. However, it is hard and made up of several minerals that are by nature glued together. Because of this, if hit hard enough with a hard object it could chip because of its brittleness. Small repairs for this type of thing are not a problem however for a stone restoration pro trained in crack and chip repair.
