Q. I have a granite top on our bar with several "ring stains." Can I use a marble polishing compound for polishing them out? A. A marble polishing compound can sometimes be used and shouldn't do any harm. However you may need to use a granite polishing compound. If that doesn't work you will need a professional restoration company to refinish the top. What you are describing sounds like mineral deposits, but it could be caused from other things as well.
