I applied a sealer twice, but the stone still darkens. Should I seal it again?

Q. I applied a sealer twice, but the stone still darkens when it gets wet. Should I seal it again?

A. If your stone still darkens when your pour water onto it (rather than just beading up), then it should have another application of sealer. Some stones are by their very nature more absorbent than others. Continue to apply sealer to the point of rejection, being careful not to leave any sealer on the surface.
